She had been sitting in her slip on Lake Ray Roberts in Denton, Texas for a few years with no use. She wasn't the year we were intending to buy nor had the wing keel like our 1989 Catalina 30 had, but she was close to our home port of Grand Lake, Ok. {5 hr. drive one way} which made it "easy" to look at her a couple of times before buying.
We looked at every inch of her. We have been doing our own boat work {fiberglass, teak, canvas and so on} on our 30 and other boats so we knew what to look for and what it could cost to fix or replace something. Or know if it wasn't worth our time.
We are currently custom building our dodger/bimini/encloser right now along with varies other projects for her that I will talk about here and there.
